Happy Holidays!
2011 is quickly coming to an end, but our school year is far from ending! Our PTA has many more exciting events and programs planned for 2012!
As we end this year, I’d like to thank those Chairs that have organized and coordinated events these last two months. Thank you to Richard Tamura for our successful Family Photo Days – always nice to get a jumpstart on the holidays with precious memories to share. Thank you to Renee Brodkin and Melanie Hepner for a rip-roaring Hoedown. Thank you also to Tae Ham for coordinating our helpful Holiday Pie Sale. Thank you to Leah Wolverton for all her work encouraging students to enter the PTA Reflections Contest and helping coordinate the judging of all of the student work submitted. A big thank you to Chair, Sorah Han, and her “elves” who helped at the Holiday Shop – a fun filled time for our students to shop on their own for those special people in their lives.
I’d also like to thank those volunteers who have generously donated their time to help directly with parents and students in classes. Thank you to the Parent Reps and Adventures in Art docents. Your help coordinating activities, getting the word out on school happenings, and sharing your love of art with our students is much appreciated.
Thank you for your support of our fundraising efforts as we support our school’s needs. We have had music and writing assemblies, as well as our popular Walk Through California and the American Revolution programs. Classes started going on field trips and they will continue throughout the school year.
We are always looking for help and support with the events we sponsor. We cannot pay you, but you will be rewarded with smiley faces from parents, staff and, the most important people at our school, our children! Just as our theme states, teamwork divides the task and multiplies the success!
Upcoming PTA events: Multicultural Week and Family Skate Night.
Finally, I want to wish every Adams Family a happy, safe holiday season. See you in 2012!
