PTA President's Message Minimize

Dear Families,

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome all of the new and returning students, parents, and staff to the 2018-2019 school year at John Adams Elementary.  I hope you had a restful and enjoyable summer.

Our PTA is a 100% Volunteer run organization here to support the faculty, staff, parents, and most importantly our students here at John Adams. Over the years, the PTA has become one of the strongest voices in the educational process that directly supports our children and school. This year will be no different, and with all of you we just can’t miss.  Over the summer your PTA Executive Board has been busy developing the details for a very productive and exciting year aimed at enhancing the educational environment for all of our students.  I highly encourage each and every family to become involved in your children’s education on some level and take advantage of all that our GREAT SCHOOL has to offer.

With that said, please support us by:

  1. Purchasubg a PTA memberbish for $7.50

  1. Helping in the classroom or at home

  1. Supporting your room rep as they coordinate activities and events for your child’s class

  1. Helping out at school events or with committees- some are during the day and some are during the evening

  1. Volunteering to chair a committee and join our board

  1. Supporting our fundraising efforts so we can continue to offer our great field trips, educational assemblies, awesome art program, and more!

You can keep up with school happenings by using the school directory, visiting our Website

(www.adams.tusd.org), and through our newsletters and flyers that come home in the Thursday

Message from the National PTA Minimize

PTA Advocate,

Join National PTA and other education advocates from across the country today in a digital day of action to protect public education!  The Washington Post is reporting that President Trump's proposed budget is set to be released next week with massive cuts to public education and a new proposal to use public funding for private school vouchers.

Email your Members of Congress to tell him/her to fund our public schools, and keep public dollars where they belong - with the 90 percent of American children that attend public schools!
